It’s not everyday that kids can help avert ecological disaster. But in “Gobble de Goop,” kids deploy oil-eating bacteria to save the coastline from an encroaching oil spill.

The game is based on the real-life use of synthetic microbes to disperse oil spills, and was one of several games produced by Harvest Moon Studio for “Microbes: Amazing Allies, Invisible Invaders.”
